In Germany, the recent work from M. Bernd Kreitz, Sales Manager andEuropean fire specialist at Reflexite, in close collaboration with theauthorities pushes the Reflexite® Microprismatic Technology at firstrank in High Visibility and Safety Solutions.
The Reflexite® GP340 range (see pictures below) is 100% GUV approved(in white, lime and silver) allowing all Emergency Services in Germanyto use advanced high visibility technology on their GUV compliantgarments. The Reflexite® GP340 range complies with all requirements ofthe GUV and specially with the care and desinfection issues. It is theonly microprism product which can comply with such heavy requirements.
Another major step forward was the opening in June 2005 of the HuPF,the German Fire Brigade specification, to the only retro-reflectiveprismatic fire tape in the marketplace: Reflexite® Fire Tape Plus 1200(EN469 and EN471 compliant).
From now on, the German Fire brigades will benefit from the greatadvantages of the prismatic technology on their HuPF compliantprotective clothing.
Numerous brigades in Germany have started field testing the products(Aachen was one of the first brigade buying the tape). Mr. Bernd Kreitzsays he is confident that the HuPF compliance will make Fire Tape Plus1200 a common tape on the Fire garments bringing more visibility in allweather conditions, a strong heat and flame resistance and aretro-reflection in yellow enhancing safety & conspicuity of thefiremen.
Many other fire brigades in Europe are now showing great interest aboutthe Reflexite® FTP1200. In France, more than 6 departments are nowusing the products with great enthusiasm.

Reflexite® invented prism based materials, and after more than 30yearsprovides products with the best possible visibility in day andnighttime, poor light and adverse weather conditions. Reflexite® is theonlymanufacturer to offer the benefits of this superiortechnologyconsistently backed by years of experience, technicalinnovation andcommitment to customer needs.
Prism technology worksby refracting light from its inner surfaces.Light strikes each of thethree surfaces of the Reflexite® microprismin turn, before returning toits source. The retroreflective efficiencyis enhanced by the precisearrangement of the microprisms, as seen in amicroscopic view. Themicroprism's economical use of surface areadelivers the higheststandard of reflection.
