February 6 2007

The Irish Minister for Transport Mr Martin Cullen recently visited the Reflexite European Conversion Center, this visit was a fantastic opportunity for Reflexite to promote and demonstrate the effectiveness of our products and our commitment to Road Safety in both Europe and to a powerful political figure in the Irish Transport and Road Safety Sector. Mr Cullen was accompanied by Sergeant Tom O’Sullivan and Inspector Tom Duggan from the Waterford Garda Traffic Division.

The opportunity of the visit arose from John Crotty (Products Development Engineer) attending a training course where he had to do a ten minute presentation on a topic of his own choice. A member of the Chamber of Commerce was present at the training and was very impressed with John’s presentation and Reflexite’s VC104 product (Reflexite range for truck visibility compliant with the European legislation: ECE104) and the positive effect it would have on Irish Roads. They put Reflexite in contact with Mr. Martin Cullen and Lorraine McGavock, our European Operation Manager  arranged the visit.

During his visit Lorraine presented him with a full introduction to Reflexite, our philosophies and the effect our products could have on road safety in . Mr Cullen was very impressed with Reflexite company and products and put us in touch with the Road Safety Authority of Ireland for an opportunity to work with them.
