Reflexite, manufacturer of prismatic reflective tapes for safety solutions, is launching a new extra lightweight high vis tape for PPE garments - as thin as glass bead tapes but with all of the performance benefits found in a prismatic tape. And not only that – the new Reflexite® GP525 Eco is the first EN471 compliant prismatic reflective tape to fall into the category of being environmentally friendly, as it has been made from all non-PVC materials.
Users of PPE garments demand more and more from their garments, lightweight fabrics are now commonplace and customers who know of the superior performance of Reflexite have requested a softer lightweight product. Patric van Gelder, European Safety Manager explains, "Reflexite has always listened to our customers and through this feedback our Research and Development team has produced the GP525 Eco. There is nothing in the market today that gives you this level of comfort plus the exceptional performance of prismatic technology".
The new Reflexite® GP525 Eco is so thin, that you would not even notice that there was a reflective trim applied to the garment – it will simply feel as if it is an integrated part of the fabric! So, for users of PPE garments there is no longer any need to compromise on the quality and accept a lower performance in e.g. heavy rainfall – a prismatic tape is now available providing both great comfort and great visibility even in the worst of weather conditions.
Reflexite’s GP525 Eco garment tape can be dry cleaned as well as washed at 60 degrees Celsius, and it conforms to the highest EN471 classification whilst maintaining the very high standard of visibility and safety that is associated with the Reflexite product line.
The new reflective tape has a unique surface pattern with small squares, giving it a very special chessboard look, and it is available in both white and silver grey colours. The fact that the Reflexite® GP525 Eco tape is also environmentally friendly is the icing the on the cake which for sure elevates this tape to ‘checkmate’ status.
